It seems some people have trouble in registering...

Here is how to do it!

Upper right side click on register ---

Read and click on one of the bottom 3 statements, the only one that will allow you to finish is “ I agree “.

Fill in asterisk marked fields.

Profile information is up to you at this point as this can be done later.

Set your preferences.

“ do not “ change board style.

Then submit.

Within a day “ normal time period “ you will receive an email from the board with an address to click on, this is what activates the member registry.

After clicking it will tell you; you can log on.

This whole process is self-activating and I have nothing to do with it.

Here are some problems and answers...

Someone tried to register using the name of “-------” and the info and profile was on the site but “-------” could not log in.

He gave me the info and I tried to log in for him but it did not work.

I have the Adm. Panel set to self activation
(Enable account activation - User)
and he said he did not get the email with the address to click on for activation.

I deleted his info (I did not ban; I just deleted) and told him to try again with the same info but nothing works for him.

My other users were registered OK.

If he is using a Hotmail email account, that would be a problem, because Hotmail has been blocking emails from ForumUp.

Yahoo.com is a good email account to use since Yahoo delivers all emails.

Tell him to look in the spam folder of his email account.
The activation emails of ForumUp usually wind up in the spam/junk folders.

Tried logging in again..It Worked just fine the first time..
Went to your post you made for me and tried to make a reply
in that thread but it kicked me off the Site again like yesterday,
Repeated log-ins all failed..???

He probably has his browser security settings set to not allow cookies. Cookies are needed to be able to stay logged onto any php forum.

On Firefox, go to tools>options>privacy. Then make sure there is a check in the box next to the words "accept cookies from sites".

In Internet Explorer, go to Tools>Internet Options>Privacy. Check the security settings and make sure they are NOT on "High". "Medium" is good.

If the person is using AOL's browser, tell them to us Internet Explorer or Firefox instead.

AHHHHHHH..That's the problem..I'm using AOL Browser on my PC..Don't really want to change Browsers at this time as I use AOL constantly in my work.
