I attend Living for the Brand Cowboy Church.

Cowboy churches started as ministers and concerned Christians began ministering at rodeos, roping events and so on... It began to grow, and Christians who were part of the country/ranch/farming/cowboy culture began having regular church meetings together, and attracting others who would not have been comfortable stepping inside a traditional church building. Some of them decided that they needed a building of their own. The Association of Cowboy Churches began.

The one I attend is really on the move! We have two Sunday morning worship services because there are too many people to fit in one service. They host children's rodeos, roping events, and playdays to reach out the to the farm and ranch community we live in. They have been using county fair grounds and other private arenas to do this.

But now we are getting our own arena! Right on the church grounds! DEBT free! God is providing all the materials and labor. It's comming more slowly than some of us would like, but it is comming along. We think it will be ready for use by the end of the spring.

There are people in this church who have also worked to gether to provide a water well for a community in Africa. There is a lady who has her own ministry of providing a safe place for homeless women and children until they can get a place to live. There is no time limit on how long they can stay. We have Cowgirls of Faith ministry, and we're working on getting a cowgirl charater created to be used to minister to the girls of our church. This church also reaches out to people who are separated or divorced. They host DivorceCare, which is a non-denominational divorce recovery ministry.

These people I worship with are truly busy for the Lord. They are inspiring and encouraging. They really love one another, and you can see it on their faces and in their actions. They look out for each other, and are very accepting and understanding.

John 13:35
"By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another."

I told you that you would have a lot to offer.

I heard of the Cowboy Church Ministry but knew nothing about it.

Thank you for the info and I think a lot of the others will find it interesting.

Blessings in your ministry.
