I like you Jesus, but not your bride.
Some people claim to love Christ, but they aren't all that thrilled about the church. That's a little like saying to a new husband, "I like you, but your wife leaves a lot to be desired."
Can a person be a Christian but for the most part avoid church attendance? It may be possible, but it's not a very smart policy. For one thing, you can almost guarantee that your children won't grow up committed Christians.
"I like you Jesus, but not your bride!" When you think about it, such a comment is insulting.
Yes; the church has faults. It's not what it someday will be. But we are to love the Church and work to make her beautiful, if for no other reason than; the Scriptures say that Jesus loved the church and gave his life for her.
