Liquid Laundry Detergent
3 pints Water (hot)
1/3 bar Fels-Naptha soap (grated)
1/2 cup Arm & Hammer Super Washing Soda ( not baking soda )
1/2 cup 20 Mule Team Borax
1 quart Water
2 gallon bucket for mixing
Mix Fels-Naptha soap in a sauce-pan with the 3 pints hot water.
Heat on low until dissolved.
Stir in the Arm & Hammer Super Washing Soda and the 20 Mule Team Borax.
Stir until thickened, and remove from heat.
Add 1 quart hot water to a 2 gallon bucket.
Add soap mixture and mix well.
Fill bucket with additional hot water as needed
(you should have about 1.5 gallons of the mixture) and mix well.
Set aside for 24 hours or until mixture thickens.
Use 1/2 cup of mixture per load.
You probably do not need fabric softener.
You should have empty laundry detergent bottles on hand to store the mixture in, or anything you can close or seal.
( The prices we pay for the items to make this mixture allows us to do a load of wash for about .03. )

I make window washing and general cleaning solutions by mixing 1/3 vinegar to 2/3 water and about a tablespoon of rubbing alcohol.
It works oin mirrors, windows, counter tops etc.
